Did you have a 20 gal tank in that boat? Your numbers arent even close to correct or your motor had major problems. I have put 100 miles on my Z21 w/ 250 proXS and had over 1/2 of a 63 gal tank left. The 4 strokes are better on gas but not that much better.

And you cant go straight off the gas gauge, they are not that accurate.

Still in the break in period on mine, on and off the gas quite a bit. Still better than old opti. I'm sure it'll improve.

Did you put those rod straps down, or was that done at the factory?
Mine should be here next week. I guess they are way behind on shipping...

With that said, the rod boxes are slightly larger as well. Only drawback is the fact that the center box is glassed in now instead of being open up front to the bow. I liked having that extra space there for extra life vests, etc.

One other update they did, which is excellent is the center seat and ease of removal, but also a built in, glassed in box. I have a extensive video of the layout and changes and everything on the Nitro Bass Boat Owners facebook page.
Do you have a link to the video you did?

i put the rod buckles in. You’ll also need the conceal kit for these as the gunnels are short.

How'd you do away with the red vertical stripes on the motor? It looks better that way

Well, I had to first create a solution that would dissolve off the red coloring without effecting the cowling itself. I used a combination of windex, fantastik cleaner, vegetable oil, a slight bit of vinegar and a little lemon juice. Once you mix that up right, it will be a nice solution you can wipe on. It’s a solution my grandfather used to use and taught me. Totally kidding. The red is just decals and I peeled em right off.

I haven't seen one in person and thought they were painted on, makes the motor look slimmer imho.

Your measurements are WAY off. If you assume even a modest 40 gallon tank, 30 gallons to go 40 miles? Maybe in reverse... The 4-strokes are really not significantly more fuel efficient than the optis, from actual experience.... Takes x gallons per hour to make 250 hp. X doesn't change much from 2 stroke to 4 stroke since injection came along...

My bass cat with a 200 pro XS (optimax) hits 6-7 miles per gallon at 50 mph and 4000 RPM.

you went from a V6 to a V8 ....fuel economy will go down and others have reported this. How are u getting better fuel economy? 2 more cylinders means more Fuel

Going from a V6 to a V8 means nothing. Changes in displacement means everything.
And this is a case of going from a 2-stroke to a 4-stroke, so displacement comparisons don't matter either.

What kind of top end speed are you seeing? Assuming it is broken in by now.
