    Helix 12 Mega or Not?

I know this is largely a personal choice but I'm struggling with making the decision. I want to replace my Bow head unit so I can take advantage of my HB 360. Currently have a Helix 9 non Mega there and thinking the 12 inch with the better resolution will improve what I'm seeing. At this time I do not have an external transducer on the TM (Ultrex) but may put one on. I'm trying to decide if the MEGA is worth the additional expense? Since I have had the HB360 I have only used the 360 on the Bow unit.

    Appreciate any input.

    Thanks,

    Robert

The 12" display itself is great for viewing 360 especially using the Front View.

You do not need a MEGA SI or MEGA DI unit to display 360. The CHIRP model will do that with or without any transducer to provide the Depth readout. First generation or G2N Helix 12.
