Lets get CRAZY!

Decided to try out the Dayton area of the GMR. Since the dam is now removed below Dayton and I have made it to behind Carrillon park my buddy and I decided we would see how far up the GMR we could make it this trip. We made it all the way to the Helena St. dam. YES, we went up through the two kayak water features in downtown Dayton! Also the fountain at the mouth of the Mad river comes on 5min before the hour and you better not be under one of them! We was fishing the mouth of the Mad and joking about getting hit with the stream that comes out of the fountain when it starts coming on!

The fishing was tough and we caught a few smallmouth but it was a fun trip!

Dang I was puckered every time you ran thru ripples. My brother lives near end on Benner road in Miamisburg, there is a low head dam right there, always looks like a great area to fish.

That is a good area to fish. I was on that section 3-4 weeks ago when I put a hole in the boat.
