    20i glove box

A little late but I am doing some spring cleaning... Anyone know how tighten up the screws on the glove box hinge on passenger side(dual console)?

I haven't had the issue of it becoming loose yet but I would bet when it needs to get tightened, I will remove the screws and put in small bolts w/ lock washers to snug it back up

I would like to do that, but I cant seem to figure out a safe way to get to the nut side of the hinge. I am referring to where the glove box itself connects with the hinge

Can you unscrew the rear wall of the rod compartment and access it through there? Seems like there was an angle bracket holding up the wall and it had a screw to the wall and one to the floor.

I don't think you can access through the rod locker as it sits far lower than the console

it looks like I have to take the whole console apart to get at the other end of the screws

I thought you meant single console. I must have misunderstood. We are talking about 2 different things if you have the passenger console. The passenger glovebox on a single console is still up under the console on a dual. You just don't have the door but still have the cubby hole. Its directly on top of where the passenger footrest is.

If you're talking about the glovebox door on a dual console I'm way off.

    1. remove screws in windshield
    2. remove 2 locknut/bolts that attach the grabhandle
    3. remove 2 screws just above the hinge that hold the glove box molding
    4. pull it out...
