Mercury Optimax Oul Tank - Overfilled??

I was filling up my oil in my Ranger boat and the oil started overflowing from out of the Spicket. And I was watching the tank in the back compartment and pouring it in there is still about a half inch to 3/4 of an inch left in the tank so I know there is room for it to pressurize. Should I be concerned that I may have overfilled it? I don’t see a fill line on my tank in the back compartment. And I’ve always made sure to not fill the tank all the way up to the absolute top.

My ranger has the extern all filled port on the back of the whole. I’m using Siri to type this so hopefully it is coming through clear.

You should be alright.....Next time leave more air space to allow for sloshing around.
