    lithium for cranking battery

ok guys. I pick up 21PHX on Friday (I'll post pix Tuesday). my question is, I have lithium pros and want to know if I should still use an AGM battery for cranking with the lithium as a house battery (Mercury pro xs 4 stroke)? I planned to use the lithium only but have been searching posts on here and guys go either way on it.

Up to you man...If you have the money and want to run all lithiums then go for it. I don't think it is necessary to run a lithium cranking battery though. I've done it both ways and personally I would never buy another lithium cranking battery because I don't think it is worth the $$$. With that said I would never run standard batteries again for my trolling motor set up either though.

If the lithium has more power than use that. Can never have too much power for the boat.

I'm pretty sure you can't use lithium batteries with the new Pro XS
