I'd say your about 5% correct. They disliked Jeff and Jimmy ( I am by no means a fan of either) because every time they climbed in they won. Kyle is nowhere near that status (other than when he goes down to beat up on the kids) and gets and deserves 0000000 respect. His fans ( all 50 of them) I would guess carry the same thought process, any attention is good attention. The good thing about it is that respectful people ( non KB fans) don't have to waste any respect on him or the 50 (mostly 12-18 yr. old boys and girls) that cheer him on. I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

Thank You..... I miss those days was obviously never a fan of Dale Sr but missed having him in the field so I could listen to his fans whine when he lost then complain that someone had the audacity to give him a dose of his own tactics.....

I don't get too upset by Kyle Busch it's a whole different era not near as exciting and mostly laugh at his post race antics and if he was a Professional Bass Fishermen it would be called "His Brand" on the BBC.... However he seems to be his own worse enemy with examples like you mentioned

Is it possible to dislike both Dale Sr, and Kyle Bush, but respect that they are both the best wheel men in the business?

Sure that should be possible just as it should be possible to dislike and have no respect for one of the "Worst Wheel Persons" to ever be in the NASCAR Business?

I still haven't figured out why Kylies fans ALWAYS need to compare him to SR. (or anyone else for that matter). I guess when dignity and respect mean nothing to you, you need to find a way to fend off the reality that is being a kb fan. I'm also not so sure he's any more of a "wheel man" than Harvick. If Harvick wouldn't have wasted the first 6 years of his career with Childress who knows where he's be sitting.

Great race! I watched every lap of Friday and Saturday's race. Watched most of the truck race. Bristol is the best.

The great Kyle Busch wrecked himself during the Xfinity Race and the Monster Energy Drink. And for good measure he wrecked Truex too. Finished #1 in my Draftking Pool out of 40-something people. It's weeks like this I wish I had gotten in bigger pools. I had Kurt, Elliott, Bayne, Newman, Harvick, and Stenhouse. Darlington is 2 weeks. Love the throwback race!

Just finished watching the race, it was great a lot of story lines.
Hats off to the thread opener, not giving away the winner's name.
    Also, good job Kurt.

You are an excellent NASCAR Historian and good at analyzing situations in the sport if you had a radio show or podcast bet it would sure be good listening.....

Kyle is like a lot of spoiled kids it seems when he does not win. His interview after he wrecked in the Xfinity race Friday night about sums him up. Just a very poor sport and you wonder why nobody likes him. Truex will get his revenge hopefully even though Kyle took the blame for the lame move he made to wreck Truex.

I just heard on the local news that Kyle got into an altercation with a race fan after the race as he was leaving the pits on a golf cart. A lady got it on video of coarse and it showed him jump off the cart and getting in a mans face about something and then they were pushing each other around. There was a lot of booing going on.

Googled and saw the video. Could not see what all happened very well but could tell Kyle got off the golf cart and went directly at the fan and "chest bumped" him a few times before the fan shoved him away and Kyle went back for more and was escorted away. That is great for his image. Kind of like Tiger Woods crying about all the spectators yelling remarks at him at a golf tourney. They would make a good pair.

Doubt that chest bumping an obnoxious drunk who wants to fight is going to hurt any NASCAR Driver's Image....

Shoot in highly competitive events involving Highly Skilled Professionals running high powered machines trying to win a huge amount of cash whether it's NASCAR or Professional Bass Fishing stuff like that is going to happen when some local encroaches on your space Busch just didn't happen to have a two ounce jig or a giant Zara Spook with razor sharp hooks to sling in his direction....

No idea if the fan was an "obnoxious drunk" but I do know the obnoxious Nascar "star" (LMAO) couldn't handle himself as usual.

Bet NASCAR is loving the publicity after the CEO gets busted last week. Anything do deflect that coverage.

I don't see that having a lasting effect. I would bet most of us have someone in our family that has had a DUI and probably the same for someone afflicted with a drug addiction. You don't watch or attend a race because of Brian France. It definitely is a negative story for Nascar but after it runs through the news cycle most people stop thinking about it.

I saw a report that he was of course that doesn't mean much in today's news reporting.......Obnoxious NASCAR Star does have a humorous ring to it might become a BBC Staple......Headline: Obnoxious NASCAR Star Chest Bumps Fan at Bristol who fared better than Truex.

Obnoxious NASCAR Star is rapidly becoming the Lightening Rod for BBC NASCAR Threads which should be good for post counts and page numbers in the future as he's usually in the mix every week and doesn't have to settle for just being proclaimed as driving better than a bunch of guys on a bass site.

However it seems the young folks aka kids really like him so does he get any consideration for BBC Immunity under the Pyschonelli Rule?
