Well my son caught one of Pickwick’s 10 lbers last night. Need a replica mount recommendation. Thanks!

Lake Fork Taxidermy did mine and I love it, check them out, can't be in a hurry though. They stay busy

Bass Pro Shop made a fiberglass replica for me and did a darn good job.

Call Jimmy Lawrence of Lawrence Taxidermy. He is on Facebook and out of Iowa. He has done a number of mine. If price is not an option go with Dave Campbell as his work is fantastic as well.

Lake fork Taxidery did mine back in 99 and it turned out great.

They suck, all their mounts look the same, if you want a replica that actually looks like your fish go elsewhere. Artistic angler out of MN is very good but pricey.

That was back when Ron Kelly still did LFTaxidermy, he's no longer there.

He's doing a skin mount walleye for me. He's got some of the prettiest most detailed mounts I've ever seen in his shop.

Yeah we thought we did good to get about 10 lbs with our 5 fish then he pulls out a 10.27 stud.... Told us what we already knew.. That we were certainly in the wrong spot.. Mike, you could try Martin Jackson in Russellville, Dixie Taxidermy... He's pretty good... Done some deer for me... He'd be worth a call being local..

Congrats on a great fish. Let's see a pic. Here in Missouri 10 pound bass are very rare.

I pretty much said the same thing in all my past posts, but I was politically correct and didn't call them out and say they suck...

If you pay attention to Lake Forks paint jobs and other replica companies in the $500-$700 range you'll be able to see the difference. All the "cheaper" companies I looked into when I was searching did a very basic "air brush" type of paint job.

Compare my close up detailed pics of my two mounts to those of Lake Fork, etc and you will see the difference, it's night and day.

You get what you pay for and there's a reason a Lamborghini costs more than a KIA...........

Congrats on the catch and release. I have seen some beautiful bass mounts by Hereford taxidermy by following him on Facebook lately.

There is a 13 pounder replica in Mud Creek BBQ. It was done by an excellent artist. You might want to go and look, or at least call and get a name.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Gives me starting point to research. It was really a tough night Matt. We only had 8 keeper bites. Most of our fish including the big one came in about 10 ft on a black Ol’ Monster
