fished it today. Was tough. I think they are schooled up tight. If you land on a school, it’s your best day ever on the lake. If you don’t find the school, you catch one smallie and a walleye. I didn’t find the school today. Fished east and west of the hump 16 to 21 fow. Tubes, DS, cranks, jerks. 2nd cast of the day was a 3.5 pounder. Then nada. Moved a lot. Scanned a lot. Found fish on the sidescan multiple times, but couldn’t get them to turn on. Talked to a few other guys coming off the water - same experience in the same general area. Water temp ranged from 77 to 80.

Thanks for the info. I've never fished this late in the summer up there. They're calling for 10-15 mph winds from the north. Not sure how that will be.

North and east winds are the worst.

Tomorrow winds look light. No problem at all.

    Sailflow is the app pictured.

I use several that I have confidence in - sailflow, Storm Radar, windfinder, and NOAA Weather.

Is St Jeans a DNR ramp and is secure or do I need to worry about my truck windows there?

Private ramp, I personally have never had an issue there. However it is Detroit so just be street smart.

I launch there several times a season. One of the local guides launches there every day. Haven’t heard of any issues in many many years.
