    2004 f150 flywheel removal

    I need to change the timing belt on my f150.
    the issue is I cannot get the flywheel off!!
    I bent my puller, took it to the car dealership I work at. None of our techs could get it to budge. Had a friend take it to his work that has a boat service center and they had no luck either.
    I am totally stumped.
    Any help / advise would be appreicated

    Did you try and use an impact gun to turn to he bolt?

    Did you try rapping on the bolt from time to time if you were just turning the bolt with a normal wrench?

    Maybe try applying some heat to the flywheel with a hot air gun.

    After all else fails;

    We did try using an impact, heat , soaking it with PB Blaster and letting it sit and lightly tapped the flywheel.
    Any idea who makes that puller in the picture?
    or other suggestions?

    thank you for the help

    Rap the bolt on the puller with the impact a few times. Then smack it dead on the center with a 3lb sledge.

    Well guys, update on the flywheel that will not come off!
    dealer said broke 2 bolts and can not get it off. Said I could pick it up or they could take it to their engine builder.
    if anyone has info on where to get a puller like the one above please let me know.
    thank you

    Make a top plate. Get some b7 threaded studs and a small porta power cyl. Leave the nut/washer on a few threads so when the flywheel pops it doesn't fly off. Cj
