    1040xs

    Is the GT 40 compatible with a 1040xs???

    The 1040 is 8 pin the gt40 is 12 pin. I think you might be able to connect it through the gcv 10 black box but I'm not 100% sure. Someone with more knowledge will chime in soon

    No. I don't think like that. The GCV10 can use the GT30 transducer. I don't think it can utilize the other side imaging transducers. The 1040xs doesn't do side imaging in and of itself. It can display side imaging from another connected network unit or black box. I think it's like the 942xs I have. It has an 8 pin connector and a network port. I haven't found anything that it won't display that comes from another unit but the other unit has to do the work. I haven't tried it with LiveScope but it's listed as compatible. The 1040xs is not listed as compatible with LiveScope as far as I can tell.

    correct the 1040xs in not compatible with live scope. Someone had a GT40 on sale and I needed to see if it would work on a 1040xs. Nope it does not...
