When you're speaking of bombing casts, exactly how far are you throwing them, in yards? Thanks for the responses, Brian.

Where in PA do you live? Want to get together for some competition if close to ABE area?
Only casts I have measured is when I was trying to learn to cast a 1/8 oz. lure. Nope....I couldn't spool the reel.
I believe my old STX is rated for 135yards of 12# mono. Don't know if that is to the bevel on the spool lip or 1/16-1/8 below it as specified with the instruction sheet. Sufix Performance is equivalent to 12# Trilene XL. I fill to the bevel on the spool lip. I have managed to cast a little over half a spool. I don't think I will ever be able to spool a reel. Well...I take that back. I have a Presso spool in a Sol. Currently has 10# Super Natuarl on it. I believe I could spool it with the right rod/lure.
There are guys spooling normal size reels. I'm just not ever going to be a guy that can do that.
If anyone responds with a distance...automatically subtract 20 yards.
The only real frame of reference I have besides guessing a distance is on my frog rod I put on ~75 yards of braid (75 paces). Every once in a while if I'm casting with the wind I'll get down to the backing.

That's all?
What Id like to know is what exactly is "a country mile"....seems like every baitcaster is capable of these distances when reading reviews on tackle warehouse.
