Looking at a new Alumacraft pro 185. I am stuck between the Honda 115 or the Suzuki 115 what do you’ll recommend and why.

Both great motors. My Suzuki is the 1st four stroke and first Suzuki I've ever owned, and so far I love it! Quiet, and lots of low end power for holeshot, along with great top end.
I also owned 2 new Alumacrafts ( 1992 Phantom V170, and a 2011 Competitor 175 ), and they are a very good quality boat!
Thanks for the reply. I thought about Polar Kraft and really like the looks of them but there are no dealers close to me.

I'd get the Zuke!
I’d get the engine you could get serviced locally, or at least as close as you can. Those are both great choices. I’m not sure there is a bad choice in a 4 stroke 115 out there right now?

Funny, my 140 Suzuki (394 lbs) is lighter than the 115 Suzuki...???
Between those two I would take the Honda, much higher quality product, also much better warranty.
It's all good !

Given these 2 choices definitely the suzuki. They are both alot heavier than the competition but the honda is rediculously heavy for the 115 class. There are 175-225 hp engines that weight out there. Heavy engine on aluminum boats is something you want to try to avoid.

Of the 2 the Suzuki but you better hurry Evinrude has bought it's first transom.....Alumacraft. They said for now they will maintain the current sales platform but I'm willing to bet not long. Only 4300 more to catch up to Merc. Now Alumacraft and Evinrude make up BRP Marine Group. This is how they slowly took over the snow mobile market

Do some research on that warrant, it is 3 years with Suzuki and then 3 years with another company and pro rated, the Honda warranty is 5 years non declining with Honda. If you do some reading on salt water forums where there more people with Suzukis you will see warranty problems are pretty common and asking dealer support and parts.
Honda is one of the greatest engineering companies in the world, they make very high quality products across many lines, cars, motorcycles, jets, eat.. Suzuki failed as a car company in the US and closed all their dealer network due to low quality cars.
there are more of Suzuki outboards on saltwater boats because Suzuki seems to push their product that way. Why are there more on salt water boats, because they are a great product, and the salt water guys know it! As to warranty problems..........come on now! EVERY manufacturer has those!
Suzuki is every bit as good as Honda
