    Question Over proping risk?

Hey guys, what is the max RPM on my 2009 ETEC 200 H.O ? and what happens if i over prop it in a way that i'm not getting close to my MAX RPM but im still getting good holeshot and speed? Could i blow my motor up? I'm running a 26p Raker 2 but i tried a 27P Fury 3 blade and had good performance with it, just not high RPM

As long as you are in the operating range of your motor you are fine, when you either "lug" it (too low RPM) or spin it too high (rev limiter) you are fine. It isn't cast in stone that you have to run a BRP prop. I run Merc prop on my motor.

From my understanding the rev limiter is 6150RPM. I don't doubt for a second that you had good performance from a 27 Fury on your rig. You do want to at least be able to turn the prop to 5500 as to not lug the motor. A 27 Tempest should do well too on your rig.

You are in the range of the RPM band. However nearing the upper end will be your best performance. What is the prop to pad measurement? You could be too low, also what is your water pressure wide open?
