Troll tamer question

Anybody have a troll tamer on a ultrex? Is it worth the upgrade? Thanks

Not needed, and might even damage an Ultrex. They're designed for cable steer motors, I believe the Ultrex is cable actuated, but the actual steering is done electronically.

I assume you mean the TH marine troll tamer. I like them simply because the normal support will wear a hole in the carpet over time.

Thanks. I just know now when I go to lower trolling motor the pull cable always rubs against the cables and grommets and I’m afraid it will damage cables

Have had my Ultrex for about a year and a half....I've had no problems deploying nor retracting, nor anything else for that matter....."knock on wood"

I put one on my ultrex. It works great. I had actually cracked the minnkota kick stand where u thread in the post. The pot metal cracked so I figured the extra protection can’t hurt. The ultrex is quite a bit heavier than the fortrex.
