Question about using transducer on trolling motor

I put a Helix 9 Mega SI GPS G2N at my console today and moved my Helix 7 SI GPS G2N to the bow. I have the 2 Helix heads and my Terrova iPilot Link networked through an ethernet hub. I also mounted my HDSI transducer on the Terrova.

I ran out of daylight so I'll do more setup tomorrow, but here's my question: If I do NOT have the trolling motor deployed, can I still use the bow Helix 7 to view maps and the MEGA transducer? (I do have a Lakemaster card in each head unit.)

Yes, G2N models can share everything except maps.

Why would you want to view transom data at bow?

Why would you want to view transom data at bow?

For example, if we are just mapping a route to retrace with follow the contour, then my dad can be driving at the helm and I can be sitting at the bow with the ability to see some data like depth, temp, how deep the fish are, etc.

Ok. Just curious because it would be showing information for stuff already behind your transom transducer.
