    Nicajack - Early October

Plan on going for a few days in early October. I understand that the frog bite is pretty good then before the grass is gone. Any suggestions other than throwing frogs?

    Thanks!

But be careful getting between the railroad bridge and Chick dam (if you go that far up river).

Yes, some very large rocks just under the surface right around the bridge

I fished several times last year. My last trip last was the first week of October. 70% of the grass was gone by then. Is that the norm?

The grass starting to die off and high water flows during fall storms is the likely reason.

Lots of rain this year means lots of current flow resulting in less grass.
