Well, ran by Academy at lunch and their internet was down. So unless you were paying cash for anything you bought, you were SOL. Unfortunately, the outage also affected the TPWD terminals, so no licenses issued either ... Finally getting to take advantage of my advanced years. Sr Super Combo is $32 and Sr Freshwater Fishing is $12 ...

One of the smart things in life I’ve done, was to buy a lifetime combo license when I was 25. Got it right before the increase too. I can’t catch fish to save my life, but damn it...I’m doing it legally.

    That was a smart move.
Wished I’d a done the same. But..
when I was in my early twenties, making it to work each day was the most that could be expected of me.
I was not a good boy, much less with any care of the next day after the current one I was screwing up.

Got mine online. Surprised old tech savvy Reggie bought his in person. How old do you have to be to get the senior discount? Hope I didn't waste money.

Next year for you, youngster ... and was actually a reason to run by Academy.

I always get the license that’s good for a year from date of purchase, what’s the advantage of this type that runs out end of August?

Sept 1 through Aug 31 is the State's fiscal year. Your "year from purchase" license is $7 more than the annual and fishing only.

Thanks for the reminder Reggie. Ordered ours on line tonight. Much cheaper than going to academy!
