    Star Tron

Thinking about switching from Stabil Blue to Star Tron. Wanted to get some feedback on Star Tron.

Use it to treat E-10 87 octane in my boat and have never had the first issue. I regularly leave whatever gas was in the boat after my last trip of the season in the boat all winter which usually amounts to 5-6 months here in the Northland. Fires up without issue in the spring.

Also put it in the non-oxy 91 my small engines get. Not sure that needs it, but my snowblower, lawn mower, and weed eater all fire up without a hiccup even after sitting during the entire off-season. The one time I put Stabil in them I got to replace carbs on my lawn mower, trimmer, and snow blower. They were just loaded with gobs of red goop that reeked of that Stabil smell. Too coincidental for me.

I run Star Tron in my 200 Optimax paired with Marathon gasoline and Pennzoil XLF, plugs are clean, no smoke, prop stays clean I'm very happy with it!

Stabil Blue 95% kerosene, Star Tron 95% cigarette lighter fluid(naphtha). I don't think it matters

Thanks, I think I will try it. iI don’t use my boat a lot.

i know Scotty Kilmer has positive things to say about stabilizers.

I also like the video that Randy Vance did on the chemical experiment showing how they help.

True. Want to avoid ethanol issues, use the gas up.

Been using it for the past ten years with no problems. Put it in my 250 HPDI and my SHO's.

No need to use any of those snake oils. Waste of money.

I’ve used both. No problems but my boats get used all year.

I don’t use my boat a lot. The chemical make up does not matter as long as it works. Looking at the video by Randy Vance it does help. I will use it.

I can only provide the intro to the MSDS and how to read the composition/%. Pretty simple for a mechanical engineer to determine what this stuff is. But others opinions will varry.

K-100 is mixed at a ratio of 1:300. (8oz treats 16 gallons) Powerful stuff being as it's 80% alcohol.
