    Reels For A-Rigs

Looking to get a reel for my A-Rig setup. What is everyone generally using currently. Want something that holds a decent capacity of braid for long casts.

Yep. Be tough to buy the conquest when you could have 2-3 curado k's for the price of (1) conquest.

Agree with the 6:1 gear ratio, best way to go. 7:1 range wears you out and harder to keep the baits moving slower in colder months. I use a Revo STX with 60 lb sunline braid, works fine for me. Just crank the drag down and winch them in.

The Tatula 150 is an excellent A-rig reel on a sub $200 budget. The Zillion HD is fantastic reel as well. Quite a few guys have been using the Tranx for A-rigs and swim baits with a lot of success. There are a bunch of good options out there in a wide array of price points!

Yes sir - The Tackle Trap also custom builds the Zillion HD in either 9:1 (LH/RH) or 5.5:1 in RH only. That 5.5 is a GREAT mag deep crank, a-rig, swim bait reel!

Curado 300E. I actually wore out a 200 E7 (easier for me to slow down than to have to crank the piss out of it all day), but the 300E seems to be holding up like a tank. I also throw it on big (30lb) fluoro and the spool holds plenty of line
They aint got hands, set the hook

    Agree with 300 or Tranx. I use a 300D for A-Rigs and a 300E for lighter swimbaits.
