    Panoptix Live cable diameter.

One of my boats has an Ulterra on it so to mount the Panoptix I'll have to use one of the exterior mounting methods. I have seen the precision sonar cable guard work with a transducer but not sure about the Panoptix cable size.

Anyone running one with this setup? It's like the coiled air hose setup.

I can't seem to link just that product. It's at the bottom of this page. It's called Cable Guard.

Does the panoptix Live transducer have 1 or 2 cables to the transducer?

Just measured my Precision unit and the hose ID is 3/8" but only has a Si transducer cable through it.

My PS21 has 2 cables, measures a hair over 3/8" and looks like it would be tight, but workable with the hose that is supplied.

I assume you mean LiveScope. You have a double wire to the black box GLS10 from the transducer. Power to the GLS10. Ethernet from the GLS10 to the unit.
Here is the LiveScope cable from the transducer to the black box.

    Lwinchester

Is this single cable oval in shape?

Power and transducer connections on end of Livescope cable?

Just measured the PS21 cables where they are bonded together.

    .44" wide

    Edit

Upon further review, it appears the pic LWinchester supplied is two cables bonded together

You could describe it a two 1/4" cables bonded side by side.

I use a coiled bike cable used to lock up a bile. It fasted to the strap holding the transducer at the bottom and the top is on a stand off eye bolt that replaces the forward side plate mounting bolt on the side plate of the tm. The transducer cable is then router up the coil and zip tied to the inside edge of the bike cable. This works great and is cheap. Seen a video on Youtube how to do it. Don

Don. Could you find and post a link to that video? I don't have the same situation but I'd like to see it.

I used the precision sonar cable guide with ps22 and the large livescope cable both fit.. however Livescope cable requires few small zip ties to keep cable inside split

I should also add I ordered cable systems from conrfieldcrappiegear.com they make the precision sonar brackets too. I got the one for a slightly longer shaft too .have more twists.
the cables for livescope are shorter .. and also you need a large hole due to the 20 pin connector. I had to mount the sonar box right under trolling motor so cables fit. with a 60 shaft terrova and all the twists. the cable barely reaches box. with motor stowed.. deployed lots of room

First .... thanks guys for all the answers. I don't visit every day but appriciate them.

So is the box totally waterproof? They need to make some extension cables it sounds like to me.
