    Lowrance “Fish Reveal” update

With much fanfare Lowrance introduced this software update as the next great feature to elctronics. So what is the experience of those who have actually used it? From what little I’ve read about it seems it only works with Downscan. Has anyone really “found” fish with it that you could not identify with 2d or side scan, especially in brush? Can it tell a submerged limb from a 5 lb fish by return strength or density? Or lack of density from a fish’s air bladder?

Or is it all marketing hype?

All fish reveal is sonar being overlaid on the downscan screen.....the images of a tree, rocks, etc. are still there and what was a dot on the screen is now the fish arch from sonar......is it "special" no.....does it help you see those "dots" better yes with a fish arch....dont think that its some new technology with downscan cause its not.....basically its the exact opposite of downscan being overlaid on your sonar image.....is it a pretty pic, yes, am i impressed, not really......
