    Mega transducer cable repair

Weird question guys but I have a transducer and cable off of a brand new helix 9 with mega that I accidentally ran a screw through when I was rigging a boat. Is the cable portion repairable? I figured I would keep it around if it was in case some one needed one in a pinch. The transducer was still working when I removed it from the boat.

Try putting a section of shrink tubing with the adhesive inside, over the messed up cable wound. As long as you have already tried it. A short could burn out one or more of the frequency circuits so "at your own risk!"

Can I cut the outside sheath away and soldier each broken wire back together?

If it works you don't have any broken wires. The issue is the insulation being broken so if a wire shorts to another or the shield, either directly on from water intrusion you will burn something out. Personally I would not trust it or my ability to do it.(even though I was an electronics tech for a long time) Bob
