Question Mercury Quicksilver 2 cycle oil, can't find the guide to use the recommended P/N

For the XB motor only, Serial Number - OT235107:

    P/N: - 8M0116274, Advanced premium plus, multi-use

    or

    P/N: - 92-858027Q01, premium plus

Just want to make sure I'm using the best Mercury recommends for the XB only. Thank you folks!

I think it is the same oil. Mercury uses the term Advanced where Quicksilver does not. It is a marketing gimmick.

Have not seen "Advanced" (that specific word) utilized with Premium Plus Oil to date.

That being said- Quicksilver will package something for LARGE volume retailers in a unique packaging. The
8M0116274 part number doesn't come up in the Parts Catalog, though.

Stick with KNOWN Premium Plus, or Mercury Racing 2-stroke oil.

    Don,
Do I also need to add extra oil in the gas on the XB, seems I read somewhere some engines should have oil in the gas along with it injected? Thanks

That's Premium Plus oil (the label is advanced, perhaps).

They seem to change the labels every 1-2 years.
