thoughts of using 75Ah AGM batteries for trolling motor

Anyone using this setup on a 24V motor? Reason I ask is, I can get these super cheap here at work. Thanks, Mike

If they are super cheap and they don't last then do the math and if it's worth it then buy them.

Sounds like it would work if you got 4 and hooked them up series/parallel.

Some AGMs can provide 80% of their capacities while other should be recharged after discharging around 50%. Makes quite a difference what AGMs you are considering and as well the boat and style of trolling. Some have light 16 foot aluminum bass boats fishing protected coves in a small, no wind reservoirs, while others of us have much larger boats trying to troll the middle of Lake Amistad in high West Texas winds.
