I have a Lowrance HDS12 Gen 2 that just went out of warranty and as you can probably guess, yep, it will not power on.
Lowrance says they will not fix it but are giving me the option to replace it for another $850 which I really dont care to do.
Does anyone know some place that can fix these things?

It's $850 to replace it with another HDS 12 Gen 2. To replace it with a GEN 3 it was $1150. They didnt give an option for a carrbon.
I am starting to have issues with my HDS 12 Touch Gen 2. for some reason as the temps go up it stops responding to touch. Any Ideas??

I dont think Lowrance has had a gen 2 in stock in years. Maybe a g3 but I doubt that too. Just sayin

Just went thru this as well. At Clearcast Marine, MINIMUM cost is almost $400. I have a Gen2 HDS12 as well but luckily I also have a Carbon 12 as a backup. Mine won't power on either, as it had a bad connection on the power cable and it would periodically shut itself off. Finally I turned it on, it came on, then went off and would not power on again. Tried multiple power sources too.
These guys fixed my HDS9 touch unit.. fair pricing...call them up.
