    Replacing the bow strap, again....

Replaced it last year. It rubbed on the bolt for the saftey chain so i moved the bolt. Now it rubbed on the trailer. Gonna make a spacer plate. Thinking 1/4". Anyone else have to do this and what hight did the trick?

Or maybe somthing else is causing this.

Id take a look at how your boat is balanced on the bunks. Carpet worn evenly ? Even if strap was sitting on a bolt or edge of frame its not gonna run unless there is movement. I suspect somehow you are getting some movement up there.

Also you might make sure the Bow stop is square on the trailer. I wear one out every four years. That how i figure out my tongue wasn't square with the trailer.

Bunks are all brand new. Could prolly use a new front roller.

Any reason the strap cant come off the top of the winch instead of the bottom?

Coming off top might let boat bounce more. Coming off bottom helps hold it down to roller.
