Use bass boat saver, slick mist ( my pick) or some kind of detailer it works better. Some have a uv protection... Just my 2 cents

I'm pretty sure the vinegar if too heavy will take away wax?? The ammonia. I use a mix of windex, water and a little vinegar. Just picked up a bottle of wax n dry to see if that helps extending waxings.

It will strip wax off the boat. Sometimes people wash their car/truck/boat with dawn dish soap. This is another no no because it is a degreaser that will strip the wax away. I recommend Bass Boat Saver. You can order it online. Lucas Speed wax is similiar to BBS. It can be found at several auto parts stores and even at Wal-Mart. Use something that protects not strips

Just FYI....in my shop I use ammonia, vinegar and Dawn to strip boats before I start any repair or the sanding process....I would never use any of these to wipe a boat down after a trip.

I only use it if I'm getting water spots off and planning on waxing afterwards. If just wiping down, as said above, if washing, good marine wash then spray down.

You kin git windex w/o ammonia and do 50/50. I got away from the vinegar when I heard it takes away the wax.

    Slick Mist
    303 Detailer
Eagle One Wax As You Dry
    MeGuires Express Wax
    Rain-X Fast Wax

Only takes a few minutes to wipe the boat down at the ramp when it's still wet. Works well, keeps the scum line at bay. I go with whats cheapest. Napa had Wax as you dry on sale for $5.99 a bottle.
The blue micro fiber cloths from Sams Club are the perfect size and good quality. Only 50 cents a piece so when the rags get nasty I just toss them.

If you want to take water spots off your boat go on Ducky's web site and order their spray spot remover. It really works well. They also have one that contains a wax. My friend uses it and really likes how it works.
