    Mayo?

    How is the frog bite on Mayo in say September/October?

    Usually by that time, frogs loose most of their teeth. So if ya get bit, shouldn't hurt to bad

    In all seriousness, I don't know enough about mayo to give you a answer. I don't really think it is fished a lot. Hyco is though, which is kinda Mayo's sister lake. Try the Va. forum and see if ya get any answers.

    I’m curious too. I might just go next week and check it out for myself. Won’t help you in sept/October but if I go I’ll let you know how it goes

    I haven't fished mayo in years, but it used to be very. very clear water. We always caught our fish on crankbaits and soft plastics.

    Thanks, I tried reading back on some old posts on the lake...if you do go i'd be interested in how much grass is in there this year...it's a little further of a drive for me than Buggs and about the same as Gaston.....

    I fished Hyco one time like 10 years ago but don't remember much about it
