    Motor bogs down won't run WOT yamaha 80- 4 stroke

    My son just bought a river jon with a Yamaha 80 four stroke. He took it out today and it ran fine at first bet then bogged down and wouldn't run at WOT. He made it back to ramp ok and it was running but slow to get on plane. I am thinking fuel filter probably. Boat hadn't been much at all the last year. Seller said he put in new fuel. We haven't had a chance to look at the motor since he just got back after dark. Just wanted to see if anyone had any similar troubles. He said motor was peeing water fine. Thanks for your help.

    Fuel line breaking down would be a good thing to check. Could be clogging things up.

    Turns out to be bad spark plugs. He sent me a pic and they were terrible. New plugs and test ride was great.
