    2018 Icon Value?

Going to list my 2018 Ranger Icon for sale soon. NADA is
all over the place with pricing. Boat Has a Merc 250 with 70 hours.
    I am thinking between $82k and 85k. It’s a 20% desperation for
    9 months of ownership.

    Thoughts?

Well since you asked for thoughts, here's mine. Most people who can afford an Icon will probably just buy a new one. You might find someone who HAS to have an Icon and can't find a new one and get 85K for it, but finding that type buyer would be a long shot IMO. I think most people are going to look at it pretty much the same as a regular 521L because it's used and the second owner won't get full warranties. A used buyer can get a loaded 520 or 521 pro staff boat that's a year old for less than 85K so your going to be competing with those guys as well. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's my thoughts on it.

    I agree with Screamin Reel...

I'm going to keep mine for at least 10 years.

Just curious, why are you selling?

Can't imagine a used bass boat selling for 85k, but hey, you know what PT Barnum said.

Just because you can’t afford it doesn’t mean that a person who can is a fool. I’d love to have an Icon

IMO, the 2 stroke Pro XS will hurt the resale as everyone wants the 4-stroke engine. Awesome boat however, good luck with the sale!

Trade in whooping, be done with it, make sure you get A+ service all around and a bunch of gear thrown in, implying you will do this every year to get them druling over you, then tell them your working with another...

I wouldn't say everyone right now. A lot want it but also want to wait to see if any bugs show up, remember when the SHO came out.

Lots of L series but no Icons listed, big difference in price. OP didn't specify 520 or 521 but an Icon retails at about $100k give or take.

Unfortunately...sounds about right..but put it out there for more...you never know. All you have to say is no. Its a limited edition after all..probably someone out there that wanted one, but didn't want to pay the retail price. Good luck.

If I’m paying that much for a boat it’s the exact colors I want, options, and it’s new. Probably has a market for people who lose one to accidents or just wants the collectors item.

Agree, a guy that can afford an 85k used boat, can afford a 100k new one. That buyer wants what he wants.

I think the OP is in the ballpark. The Icon was a 2018 only boat limited edition of the Z521L with special items not available on other boats and LOADED with options.

I haven't kept up but was it only offered in the 21 or could you get a 20 also?

Never mind just looked Z521 only.
