    Testing fuel pressure

    2B115186

I always see Don saying to people to test their fuel pressure. Is there any sticky thread on how to do this? I was going to invest in a testing kit online but not really sure what I'm looking for or how to do it on my 2014 Merc 175 ProXS.

Thanks Joe. Can anyone save me some money so I don’t have to buy the manual. I know it pays for itself. Just would like to save a bit. I’m replacing trolling motor batteries and getting a new tracker valve right now.

OK. I found a used service manual online so I got that somewhat cheap. I guess I'll follow that. Any link to a cost effective fuel pressure tester.

You need glycerin filled gauges, shouldn’t really be that expensive. Local auto parts should have them. Get the manual and see what it says to get.

The correct gauge set it rather pricey. That being said, any suitable pressure-range GLYCERIN-dampened gauge set will work. MUST read at least 120 psi on the high end.

It is getting harder to find liquid gauges all the time, even off the tool trucks. I just replaced the gauges on a old AC manifold set with
glycerin filled and added ford fuel pressure adaptors to the hoses. Liquid gauges are all over the internet, just be sure they are quality ones
I would be very surprised to find rentals anywhere
    Thank You Leon Pugh
