Trolling motor shaft length for 1980?

Is a 45" trolling motor shaft long enough on the 1980?

I'd go 52" at a minimum. I have a Ranger 681VS with an Ultrex and it sits pretty low to the water but have been out in some boat wakes and even the 52 pops the surface at times. If you look at the videos of the Vexus boats it looks to me like the front sits up pretty high even with a guy up on the deck. Granted they are probably not loaded down with gear but the front looks pretty high.

Watching the videos and having just installed a new 45" trolling motor on my RT188 that sits far flatter on the water, I agree that you need to go longer.
