360 trolling motor module issue

Guys my pod is able to spin on the fiberglass shaft. I removed the 2 screws and slid out the pod to see what holds the plastic to the shaft and there’s nothing. I’m really confused. I’m about to put a small bolt and nut in the top where it won’t hit anything. Has anyone else had this problem? I called humminbird and they seemed confused

HMM, following this one....not sure what holds the pod onto the shaft and keeps it from spinning around the shaft.

sure are. The problem is with the piece above the pod and the fasteners. It’s a plastic piece that’s the bridge to the shaft.

How old/how long have you had the 360?

It’s 2 years old and was fine until I had to send it back because a crystal burned out. 260 bucks later and now it’s like this. I’ll take a picture next time I’m near it. I called humminbird and they wat me to send it back again. It’s fun ripping it apart so I’m overjoyed to do so.

Wayne thanks for your help. He saved me about 2 hrs to rip apart a dual unit setup send back and reinstall. Not to mention the loss of my 360 for some time.
