Hoping someone can give me a clue. A local lake near me has a very steep boat ramp. When trying to power load 7 to 8 inches the motor stalls. But to much trailer in the water and the bows under the roller. Would not having enough trailer in the water or having the motor trimmed to high trying to protect from scraping the skeg cause the motor to cut out?

Specifics on motor? Older 2.5's had tilt switches that would disconnect ignition if they were trimmed too high. Newer motors don't seem to have that issue...

It’s a 2018 4 stroke sho with 20hrs. Just got it out of the shop Saturday for normal oil change and Yamaha suggested using ring clean. Didn’t have any issues running.
