    Talking about Merc Monitors

What type of display do you get on the Merc Monitor, say for the level 2, on a motor older than 2007 model year? This would be for a 2004 250XS Opti, OT818648. I read that starting with 2007 you have plain language readings. What other types of readings are there?

Jim- the "plain language readings" you referred to are actually "Descriptive Fault Text" (which is primarily for approximately 15 of the most common faults that you MIGHT be able to address while on the water).

Your older engine can still display the fault. Let's say the situation is "Low Water Pressure". The later-style engine would have a "more" choice, which would instruct you to raise the engine up and check for obstructions covering the water inlets.

That's essentially what that feature consists of... otherwise, your engine provides the exact same info.
