latch bar broken on fortrex 80

One of the ends of the latch bar that sticks out broke off today. It appears to change this part it just pushes though the bracket latch/strap rope pull, correct? Anyone ever have to replace a latch bar on a fortrex before?

Push it out from either direction while adding the new one.

Yep, just broke one last month on the same motor. Push out, push new one in. I ordered the new latch bar from Jones. Lady on the phone asked me how many I wanted, guess they break a lot of these down south

I have a new one ordered, maybe I should have got a few of them. Funny thing is, I don’t even know how or when it broke. Noticed it when I had the boat home.

Oh, I knew exactly when I broke my latch bar. Trolling across lake on 70% and hit a stump just under the surface. Luckily saw it just in time to brace myself and tell partner to hold on or I would have been in water

Mine's broke on one side too !!! You say "push in and push out the old one", do you do this when it's deployed or stored ? What holds it in ? Mine is on an Ultrex, but looks the same.

Easiest way is to do it when it is stowed.
