    engineer stablizer plates

Hello all, I have a 2004 206 elite with a 2016 250 Pro XS running a Bravo 25 pitch prop, I have a good hole shot empty but when fully loaded, full gas and live wells also full I still have a slow lift to get on plane. I was wondering if anyone has used any of the engine stablizer plates that are out there if so what brands and how were your results.

I consider them band aids that cover up a bad setup.

Take care of your basics first.
Have you adjusted your PVS plugs to find the best combination?
When you’re loaded to fish what are your WFO results?
    Speed/rpms?

When you setup light it’ll never run right loaded.

I have the old model Bravo 1 with 4 large holes all open . I have a hydraulic jack plate that I run at about 1 1/2 on the gauge full or empty at take off, once on plane my top end is about the same full or empty I get about two or three mph more empty but that’s about it. I am running about 63 mph with full wells and gas tank and 65 empty live well and 1/4 tank of gas. I get a much better hole shot with empty wells that is what really makes a big difference empty wells to full wells is like night and day,

I have the same boat, I have fought the hole shot from the beginning, and have been told this year model 206 has issues with hole shot.. i will say that i bought a prop from Marks Props (i think its a Razor) and it helped a lot.. still not great but better.. i have a 4 blade to try just haven't done it yet.. if you try the trim plate let me know, i would be very interested to see how they work...

    have you thought about these??

Mark was the one who told me to try the Bravo 4 blade, it does make a big difference without the full live wells I am pleased with everything. I was not think of the self leveling tabs but more the "motor wings" I see a few brands some people on BBC speak very highly of

Have you tried plugging the PVS Holes to get a better hole shot?

To Lake Effect, mine is an old Bravo 1 and the holes are larger than the plug type holes I have only run them open again because I don't believe plugs will fit.

Johnfortier, I have considered that, Mark has done all my work in the past. What size prop do you run, what size and how many plugs do you run and how would you rate your fully loaded hole shot vs even half a load ....gear. people. fuel and livewells.
