Question RT188 Trolling Motor tray drain

Does the trolling motor tray drain have a tube hooked up to it or does it just drain into the bottom of the boat?

Just pulled mine out for the first time replacing my trolling motor and got to wondering about it.

I pulled mine one time running cable. It drains into the bilge under the tray. Seems like there was a short hose through the foam. It’s a mess under there on mine.

I’ve had my tray out several times. There is not a hose on mine.

The one a member here gave me, that I gave to another member here, had a drain tube on it. That could have a 1/2 tube attached, and run down to the bilge

Mine has the fitting, it just doesn’t have a hose attached. It would be easy enough to install one.

Next time I get it pulled I'll look to see if it has a hose hid in there somewhere!

I've had my tray out a couple of times, and there is not a tube/hose connected to the drain.

I had mine back apart the other day and there is no drain hose anywhere in there.

I really don't see any reason to add one as the water will drain to the back just as it would with a hose on it.
