Anybody know how to get through all the foam to run a drain pipe?
Anybody know how to get through all the foam to run a drain pipe?
I used a large drill bit and ran it in reverse while using a shop vac to clear the foam. Not sure what boat you have though so your setup may be different.

My boat is a 1993 364. Does the foam go all the way to the bottom of the boat? I can see a pvc pipe if I take the front panel off under the trolling motor. I dont think I could be lucky enough to drill into the top of that pipe to put the hose in
The tray should have come with a elbow, if not see if you can find two. Insert into the bottom pointed forward. Look under your bow panel should be the top of the pvc pipe. 12"to 15" of hose 2nd elbow goes it the top. Len

What’s the best way to get through the foam to the pipe opening? I hate to destroy all the foam.
I just dug it out on mine, I think that's what most do. With all the foam Ranger uses, it will not be missed. Use a knife, oscillating tool, just about anything will work.

I went to Home Depot an bought this super long super flexable Drill Bit 1 inch about 60 inch long. you have to dig all the way to the hull then drill down the keel a Very long way.
I din't dig mine all they way out, then pulled it apart and found a foot of water in there Standing water so I Drilled and drilled along the keel until I finally punched through which allowed
all the water to drain. the Flexible drill was 60 bucks. but it worked like a champ. just dig down so your not drilling through your hull I installed a comfort troll recessed pedal.

Try using a piece of electrical conduit 3-4 ft long to drill a hole thru the foam. Your choice on diameter.
Thanks guys for the help.
