    2016 175proxs alarm interpretation

    Alarm/horn interpretation
Aprox 20sec after start up I get a 5sec continuous warning horn. Only sounds off right after start up,but it sounds after every start up. Plenty oil, water pressure on par. I can't be certain, but I believe it has also reduced power like 5 to maybe 10%.

Only one way to tell for sure is to get stored codes read at a shop. If you had a Level 1 Mercmonitor or Vessel View Link or Mobile, you would most likely get plain language alarm information displayed so you would KNOW what is wrong. They do not store codes though.

Thanks for the help.... I figured it out. Alarm would sound koeo, deduced it was either water/fuel sensor or low oil sensor. 5vlt ref signal was present for low oil switch but it ohm'ed out off scale. $15 and Amazon and I'm back in business

Hopefully it really was the switch- more commonly than not, it's the float in the tank.

Of course, keep in mind that there are some "parts" sources we do not support here in the forums- see Forum Announcements for details.
