Looking to buy 1st bass boat..what do you guys think?

Have a chance to buy this sprint 207 for a great deal. Motor starts right up etc...gonna do a compression test before I buy. The guy says it's a 94 207 pro which I can't even find on the nada guides. Anyone have a clue what this boat exactly is and what's it worth? I was offered it at 2500 cash. Any things to look for? Good boat? Bad boat? Thanks guys

It looks the same as my 1999 207. It was a great boat I miss it everyday.

    Not a dirt shallow boat.

Just notice spare mine was between trailer rails.

My 98 didn't have the spare between the rails.....If it checks out for that price get it! Check for soft spots in the floor, transom, along with the engine. I did notice you will need tires and wheels, also the backing board for the port fender is missing,,,,,,that fender will bend if you step on it without it.

The serial number on the transom will tell you the year of manufacture.

You can tell that back tire recently smoked bearing.

Just a quote "You have a unique bearing system" an what it is crap.

There is cigar like ring that goes over the axle making your inside seal odd size.

The good thing Skeeter as same crap system.

Someone has added that ring due to wear on the spindle....usually will run the same seal # But you really need a double lip seal.

No they where factory original I bought my Sprint new. You can tell them by a grease fitting on end of axle.

"You have Unique Bearing System" is a quote from the manual

The 207's are a great boat as long as "Travis" isn't associated with Sprint... One of the best riding, handling and all around boats I've ever owned... If it checks out you've got a winner... Dan

I love my 98 207. I've had several different motors on it and when the last Mercury blew 3 years ago, I rode/drove/fished every new boat brand out there. NONE of them rode as well as my Sprint and while they were nice, I liked my Sprint so much that I just repowered with a new Honda BF225. Had this boat since 2000 and don't plan on trading it in this lifetime. Good luck!
