Installing talons on a slidemaster jackplate

In the instructions, it states to remove the outer jackplate bracket, but to reuse the inner bracket that is threaded.

My question is, do you still use the teflon nuts that came with the talon side brackets? And just put the teflon nuts on after you thread the bolt into the inner bracket?

I did not use nuts on the inside of my Slidemaster JP, just the inner plate. I did use bolts that stick out a few threads on the back side.
