    Power Pole install Hoses.

Looking for how your power poles were installed , specifically the newer thicker hoses that are thru hull. Just wanted to see how most are done.

I have mine in the upper edge of the splashwell just under the hinge for the back compartment lid. The hoses are really long and you will have excess hose bundled up when you are done no matter how they are put in

I ran mine along with rest of steering and other cables that tucked under a little chrome cover that's attached to boat. I can get pics of needed.

I like that idea. I may have my dealer do it. Cutting holes in my boat is not something I feel comfortable doing.

It’s a very clean install. My batt box is well organized and the hoses are well hidden and out the way

Well I was able to install them thru the rigging tube without drilling. Need to finish it up and i'll get some pics. Also added a Power pole light, man i hope that holds up.

How are the new hoses? Are they more easy to maneuver? The old style were very rigid and a b#### to get routed correctly. I found out that if I get a second power pole it won't be compatible with my current remotes but they offered to build me a power pole with the old style pump.

Hoses are less rigid then before but thicker. U cannot cut the hoses to any length, so u may have excess hose in your bilge area.

If it's the RMP, it's solid, just put mine through hell and came out shining. Just make sure have enough slack around the bracket, in case you fully deploy and not hit bottom, where you could pinch the wiring.

If you do it this way make sure it's exactly the same way with the hose clamped down on the transom some distance from where the line enters the hull. This eliminates the chafing on the cover plate. Mine goes right into the opening and rubs on the edge of that escutcheon plate covering the hole. Not good. I like the strain relief grommets that go right through the hull and will change mine over the winter.
