A lot of options in that price. Don't own a pellet, so I'm not going to advise on that. Your going to get a lot opinions on which is the best, it'll be a Ford vs Chevy deal. When the guys give their choices ask them a bunch of questions. Find out who has other cookers too. They then can compare the different models. If you have a store that sales different brands go there and look and ask questions. Search for BBQ competitions coming up around you. Every cooker known to man will be there and you can see them in operation. If you can hold off until Labor Day a bunch of places will put them on closeout and you may can even upgrade for the same money. Have fun your going to love your cooker

I bought the Rec Tec Trail Blazer a month or so ago. I bought one of the packages that had the smoker with 80 pounds of pellets and after adding a grill mat my order was 679. I actually did the 6 month same as cash thru paypal credit. I cook on it all the time and everything I've put on it has turned out great. I don't regret buying it one bit. I will say that we have a small family. The Trail Blazer is plenty big enough for what we are doing with it but if you were interested in cooking large quantities at one time it may not be big enough.

The RecTec Trailblazer is fun to play with. I got it to be more of a after work grill as it's easier to get going than my BGEs. Eggs are on a cart in garage and RT is on my deck. The wifi gave me issues at first but I figured out to move the wi-link off the chipboard and BAM she works perfect. If I had to buy a pellet grill again I'd still buy the Trailblazer.

Today at work...I started the RT Trailblazer...wife put spare ribs on. I got home...dinner was ready. Yes I made sure it was ready to go the night before and plugged it in before work. Copy cat again tomorrow for a meatloaf. Tomorrow I'll set my BGE up for a brisket smoke for wifes company picnic Saturday.
