Unless you are planning to "map" the entire lake you are on or plan to be on, you will still benefit from your Navionics card!

I wonder if you can overlay on the Navionics maps like autochart live/lakemaster on a Humminbird.....

I would assume so... the screenshots from the link above show "Genesis Live" as an overlay. Would think it should overlay on top, regardless of chart source.

I can't find the update yet either but a Lowrance Pro Staffer sent me the below.

Some of the features of this update are as follows:

    C-MAP Genesis Live
Update the mapping of your favorite fishing spot or map unmapped areas with ½ foot contours – in real time – on the screen of your fishfinder/chartplotter with C-MAP Genesis Live. Genesis Live uses digital depth to create high-definition maps featuring 1/2-foot contours. Target key fishing areas with Genesis Live maps, which make it easy to find areas where fish like to hide, like standing timber, drop-offs, points, weedbeds and more. Genesis Live maps can be saved to a SD or microSD card.

    Smartphone Notifications (HDS Carbon only)
Never miss an important text or call with the software notifications included in the NOS 18.2 software update. Turn off phone notifications for uninterrupted fishing, or leave them on to receive popup notifications on the screen of your HDS Carbon display.

Improvements on Yamaha and Evinrude Engine Integration

    Fixes

Data Sources being reset after software update
Xi5 sources and configuration disappearing after software update
    Waypoint parsing error
    Units stuck in Standby
    Time syncing on network displays
GeoFence and Language unlocks being removed has been resolved

The Gen3 and Carbon updates are available on the ftp site if you really want to be on the bleeding edge (ie. Guinea pig) of trying it.

I read the release notes...one thing that seems not very useful is that the LiveMapping Data cannot be shared on the network.
So...if you have bow units...and helm units, you gotta have the bow transducer in the water, or at least have network sonar turned on and tell all the units you want the live map on to go into live map mode? Hum...

Does it have the ability to offset depth depending on water levels?

With for how inaccurate their maps are in New England I would be way ahead of the game.
