So, gotta ask, is this an official release, or not?
Seemed like early yesterday it was up on the site and was legit, now it is still in the FTP site, but all the announcement material is gone...kind of odd, isn't it?

The website that was posted was the Australian Lowrance website....also the update is not posted on the Lowrance site so I'd say it's not official. ...instead of waiting some will jump ahead and download from the FTP site but I'd say they are taking a chance....

Well it looks like some miscommunication between some departments, the information of what is on the update is correct, but there appeared to be an error on someone’s part and as it was not supposed to be released earlier yesterday.

So the private map I've been making with c map edge....wonder if I'm just going to be able to pull it up and start live recording on it?
I wonder if you can turn the feature off and use the map it has created with out continuously re-mapping,
I would think so. I know on birds you can turn the auto chart on and off and the mapped parts will show from then on.
The earlier version of this was called "Sonar Charts Live". It was available if you had an active Navionics subscription. The program would continuously redraw the chart every time you turned it on. This was a little aggravating on KY Lake and certainly others which has a drawdown regime 5 feet every year.
Same thing for Garmin, you can turn it off and chose to display it or not......i would think that you can turn it on/off...

There are files created and saved to the SdCard when using Gensis Live.
Don't have a C Map card (yet), but did the next best thing and downloaded a "social Map" of the middle Potomac
were I do most of my boating and fishing. First attempt at this & wanted to see if the add color options would work.
All worked well & very easy to do.

According to the map, he's got some explanin to do.No where near a lake.
It looks like I'm gonna have to wait for the official release. I have been using c-maps all summer and this makes me excited.
