2004 Triton TR20X Floor Drain Hole question

I am looking for some info regarding my hull. I have called Triton (now Ranger) and they were absolutely no help and didn't even offer any help. What I would like to know is what is below the floor in my hull. I would like to make a small hole right in front of my cooler lid and put in a small drain hole for water/rain. I know my boat has the 2 right under the seats, but sometimes my boat leans forward in my driveway and if it rains, the water just sits on my carpet. Does anyone know if I can do this, and if so, will the water just drain to the back when I pull the boat back down the road? I am just trying to avoid the water just sitting there during the day if it rains. Any other thoughts are welcomed too. Thanks in advance!

Could you possibly remove the cup holder above the built in cooler and get something like a small camera down in there just to see anything? I know plumbers will use a little wire cam sometimes to get in some tight spots. It's not like you'd be going to deep just going through the deck/floor.

Can't give a positive answer, but pretty sure only the bilge is below the cockpit floor. I believe the entire top cap is molded as one piece, but there is no telling how much clearance there is below it.

Not trying to give you a hard time, but if you value your boat, don't let it sit uncovered. Especially in the sun, it's more damaging than rain. A big ass tarp if you don't have other options.

    USA

There may be some spray flotation foam right under the floor, but under that would be the bilge.

Its probably better to just jack the front of the trailer higher.

Do a search on here. There’s a thread that tells you where you can pot a 3” drain in the floor. I saved the info. If I can find it I will post it.

Should be floor drains in each corner of the floor. Problem with mine is that the factory carpeted over the hole and then put the drainplate over the carpet. Remove plate, cut out carpet around hole and replace plate. Easy peasy.

My 2004 is not set up like that. The seat plate has 2 raised places in each corner. What year is your boat?

I have 2 drains at back of my floor, but not one in front. I do have a cover on my boat almost all the time. It has a vent that sometimes water can get in and then it sits in the bottom of floor. I just thought, why not put a simple drain in front that would help all around. That was my thinking anyways. Thanks all!

Well I haven't figured anything out yet lol I have not heard from anyone who has done this, or someone confident enough to make me do it! lol I think I am just going to do it anyways. I just completed my new carpet and should have done it then, but didn't think about it till now. If and when I do it, I will surely report what took place.

You can buy miniature pen type cameras off eBay for $20 that plug into your phone, get one and put it down the hole of the existing drains and have a good look around
