    Malone Telos Load Assist

I think I've got this down now. The key was spreading out my crossbars on my Tahoe roof rack. It always worked ok, but they were too close together for me to just put the bow on one hook and swing the transom up onto the other one. I still had to lift the whole yak about 4 ft up. Not anymore. There are a lot of adjustments to make for this system to work properly, but I think I got it figured out now. I almost bought a trailer. I think this will work for now.

Always wanted to try one of those, just to see how easy it would be to put a full-sized yak on the roof of my van. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Rich. At 53 and still pretty strong, I was able to get my 64lb yak up there without help, but very clumsily. The thing would want to roll over and would sometimes get hung up between the door and the suv body. With this "helper" every move is calculated and done correctly so that I don't screw up my back with a sudden move or twist.
