    Motor Guide to Minn Kota

Have a Motor Guide X5 on my 920. Thinking about changing to an Ultrex. Has anyone made this change? What kind of installation problem will I run into? Do the mounting holes line up?

Drill new holes. Be the best decision you have made since making the decision to purchase a Phoenix.

I had a MG Tour 82 on my 619 and changed to an Ultrex in Feb.....all but two holes lined up, i sealed those off with silicone and drill the two new holes i needed.....AWESOME upgrade!!! CHeck you breaker in the back as i had to go from a 50A to 60A breaker, since TM's are wired direct, that was straight forward.

I am picking up my Ultex soon. I think it’s about 10# heavyer than my mg x5.
Any top speed loses with extra weight being placed on bow?

Just remember, Button is on the left! Speed loss should not be noticeable.

Been a MG guy my whole boating/fishing life, 20+ years. Upgraded boat and decided to go to ultrex when I did. Going to Phoenix was smart move #1 going ultrex....best decision ever.
